At the Student Academy of Musical Leaders (SAML), we value transparency and fairness in all our events. To ensure smooth coordination and equal opportunities for all participants, we have established the following policy regarding performance time requests:

What is a Performance Time Request?

A Performance Time Request (PTR) allows participants to specify their preferred time slot for their performance during SAML contests and events. By submitting a performance time request, participants can communicate their scheduling preferences to SAML administration.

PTR Submission Guidelines

All performance time requests must be submitted either during the registration process or via email to admin@sa-ml.org prior to the registration deadline for the respective contest or event.

Requests must include the preferred time slot and any relevant details or preferences to be considered. If a reason is not provided, the request will automatically be denied without further communication to the participant.

Submitting a comprehensive PTR request doesn't automatically guarantee accommodation. This is because several factors come into play when evaluating requests, including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, resource availability, and alignment with organizational priorities. While we strive to accommodate all requests, there may be instances where certain factors prevent us from fulfilling them. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in such situations.

Deadline Adherence

All requests must be submitted before the registration deadline specified for the contest or event. Late submissions will not be considered, and participants will be scheduled based on availability without consideration of their preferences.

Exceptions

We understand that life happens. Exceptions to this policy may be granted only under exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of SAML administration. Such exceptions will be rare and will require compelling justification.
