H. John P. Horrilleno Memorial Trophy

The H. John P. Horrilleno Memorial Trophy is annually awarded to the highest ranking conductor in SAML’s Principal Conducting division. This award was donated by Ms. Melanie Barnett and Mr. Benjamin Gonzalez in 2021 to honor the memory of John Horrilleno. John was a great supporter of music performing arts, music education, and conducting. He often encouraged people to pursue their passions in music as he did. John was a member of his church choir for several years as a tenor and was learning to play the guitar before he passed. The Horrilleno family is honored to have John’s love for music be eternalized with this award.
