Aurora Memorial Trophy

The Aurora Memorial Trophy is annually awarded to the Avant Garde Classification Champion. This award was donated by Mr. Paul Espitia in 2021 in honor of his grandmother Aurora Saldania. Aurora was important to Paul’s journey of becoming Drum Major for El Rancho High School. She funded Paul’s first private lesson which began the momentum for his Drum Major career. Aurora did not get the chance to see Paul perform as Drum Major, but her legacy lives on with this award and its recipients.
